Before the game there was vile from Mourinho’s mouth, as per usual. Talk of City players going down well saw the United manager parrot Arsene Wenger.

Ironically it would be one of his players who would dive, and get booked, as he attempted to win a penalty.

After the game, post match interviews focused on that penalty which wasn’t called. Stating that the referee ‘had a good game but made one mistake’ was Jose’s way of avoiding FA charges.

Talking of luck on the side of City, talk of ugly goals and a general non acceptance of his own sides performance is nothing new. Pep, in his post match comments stated that it was not luck that won the game. That’s just what happens when you attack.

Finally, and subject to an FA investigation reportedly, is the handbags in the tunnel. A milky Mourinho and Lukaku actually getting a shot on target for City celebrating ‘too loudly’ is rich coming from the manager who did ‘airplane’ down the sidelines while Madrid manager.
