Defensive Midfielder – Yaya Touré

Yaya Toure will continue to start as the holding midfielder. It wouldn’t surprise me if we saw a vintage Yaya Toure goal from just outside the box. The Ivorian’s future is up in the air as it always seems to be every season. If he does leave, I am positive he wants to go out with a bang.

Left Midfielder – David Silva

David Silva seems to be the only player in the City team that Pep truly trusts. He’s the only player that is guaranteed to start when fit. He controls the tempo of the game, orchestrates the buildup, creates chances, and rarely loses the ball. There is no way he doesn’t play.

Right Midfielder – Kevin De Bruyne

De Bruyne hasn’t been up to par recently but there’s nobody else in the City side that can replace him. His finishing and passing have both dropped off this season. The lack of competition in his position due to Gundogan’s injury and Nasri being sent out on loan seems to have caused the City maestro to take his foot off the gas. He will start strictly due to lack of depth.
