Second Center Back – Jack Stephens

Despite only 10 league appearances so far this season, I see a lot of potential in 23-year-old Jack Stephens. Coming in for the injured Virgil van Djik, Stephens has stepped up to the challenge and impressed media and fans alike. He is a Southampton Academy product that looks to be relishing in his starts, and should be a future player for the club. He isn’t afraid to throw his body around for the team, and is strong in the air. Nicolas Otamendi may be more experienced, but Stephens is one for the future folks.
