Second Center Back – John Stones

Despite some mistakes earlier this season, John Stones has been Manchester City’s best defender this season. After joining from Everton, Stones quickly was inserted into the City line-up and has grown with confidence since. He is becoming a leader in the back, normally paired with Nicolas Otamendi. He is aggressive defensively, while making better decisions with his distribution up the field. Like his England teammate Cahill, Stones is good in the air and always looks to pounce on corner-kicks and free-kicks.
