First Centerback – Nicolas Otamendi

Otamendi is still City’s #1 centerback despite getting some rest by Guardiola. His aggressiveness is key for a lead defender, while his aerial threat is a huge plus. Recently, he hasn’t been forced into too much work which is good but hasn’t made any mistakes either. For now, Otamendi deserves his spot in the starting XI even if he is not in Pep’s plans for the future.
