As the season draws near, the attention begins to shift to offseason. Like any other teams in the world, Manchester City has holes that must be filled to take the next step. This is a series of detailed analyses on what the team must address to step forward and challenge for future titles.

Transfer Target Evaluation — Part 1 of 8 — Goalkeeper

This is Part 1 of and 8 part series where I look at individual positions and our most recent transfer targets for that position. I then attempt to analyze the player and rate them based on quality and fit.

Here, I begin with the goalkeeping position, a position the team is in need of one, maybe two replacements. Caballero has a history with City but is getting old and we can surely find someone who can play out of the back and stop shots better than him. Bravo…. well it is Bravo. Don’t need to elaborate too much on him. I was hoping he would turn into one of the top GK’s in the Premier League come August of 2016. Unfortunately, I was terribly wrong. All we can do now is look for a replacement as he surely doesn’t have a future as Manchester City’s No. 1.

It is surely a glaring need that Pep will see to immediately once the summer transfer window opens (I pray). Take a look below to see who I rate, and who could possibly be the new Manchester City No. 1.
