A look at the best combined XI between Manchester City and Southampton ahead of Sunday’s English Premier League clash at the Etihad.

Based on both team’s preferred formations we will use a standard four at the back, three midfielders, two attacking midfielder, and a lone striker for our purposes. First up, it’s the man between the posts.

Goalkeeper: Claudio Bravo

After arriving for Barcelona before the closing of the transfer window, Bravo might not have had the best start to his MCFC career. Still, he is the type of goalkeeper that Pep Guardiola wants and is a Chilean international.

Obviously, Saints goalkeeper Fraser Forster is a top talent as well but doesn’t have a huge chance of starting for England with Joe Hart still around. He has made some acrobatic saves during his career, but still has a high ceiling. Bravo is the better goalie at the moment.
